Brain

How our brain works to decide how to behaves?

  1. Our brain:

    1. receives information about the situation we are living at the moment.

    2. then compares these information with our beliefs, the experiences lived in the past and the meaning we have given to those experiences. These composes our mental models.

    3. then evaluates our needs, goals, values and motivations and generates a possible behaviour

    4. then tries to evaluates what can happen in the future

Note: The limbic system, including amygdala, plays an important role in the decisions and behaviours we make. It evaluates decisions based on the rewards, the pleasure and the emotions it expects and prefers decisions that bring to pleasure, positive emotions and rewards.

    5. then creates an emotions associated to that particular behaviour.

  2. The emotions push us to behave in a particular way.

  3. We can decide how to reacts to the emotions and how to behaves.

My current conclusions about our Brain

  • People want to feel pleasure, positive emotions and therefore reach well-being in their lives.
