In the book How to take smart notes the author claims that nothing is more demotivating than a project that does not seem to be worth doing.

Considering that:

• motivation is what lead us to act
• to complete a project is needed to put in action the various tasks

therefore motivation is important to complete a project and therefore explaining the reasons of a project to the team is important to maintain the team motivated and successfully completing the project.
